The Halfling project - Photoshoots
This page gives a quick idea of the key photo shoots within the project.
Many shoots include video and audio drama work and take into account any previous experience.
This page refers only to criteria for The Halfling Project.
The project introduction shoot:-
Aimed mainly at boys from 5-25 these shoots are free of cost as part of the project.
They are set to build up confidence and range in the case of actors/performers/models.
They are available by application and selection.
Self Discovery & Confidence - The Halfling Project.
Different from the intro shoot in as far as this is open to boys with no desire to perform/ become an actor/model but who need help and understanding in relation to self perception and confidence - suited in particular to those on the autistic spectrum. The use of photography and A/V work is biased to an understanding of themselves and how to move forward in a sometimes hostile environment such as school/work or home. Designed with serious intent but a light touch parents and participants have found marked positive results from this work.
Group Shoots:-
Here clarification is needed as those with modelling experience know the term group shoots is used to describe a group of photographers shooting one or a selection of models.
In Halflings case however it is simply a group of actors/performers brought together by the project at one venue with just William david as the photographer.
There are various variations of this basic concept.
Note:- Most first shoots/halfling shoots take place at the halfling office or local outside locations.
Depending on numbers a group shoot may be shot at an alternative larger location - in Bedfordshire or location.
Whilst the project is set for males for good practical reasons at this time - girls are welcome to apply for photo shoots, and are not excluded.
